Comments: After a teenaged boy is found dead from a high fall, the "Marsh Girl" is immediately suspected. The police link Kya to the murder using a thread found on the boy's body. They promptly arrest the young woman. We learn why she's nicknamed "Marsh Girl" as the story proceeds. More importantly, we can begin to experience and understand her troubles.
This story reminds me of To Kill A Mockingbird. It's well done and based on a novel. Set in the marshes of North Carolina but filmed in Louisiana.
