Title (Year): Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994)Age: 37 yearsGRS Rating: 5 of 5Notable Cast: Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Wil WheatonDuration: Each episode approx 45 minInfractions: None.Comments: Probably almost everyone on the planet knows Star Trek. This TV program brings the world to a new generation with new ideas. I enjoy this program more as an adult than I did while growing up with it! The psychological dilemmas and puzzles are intriguing. Also, it's based in a hopeful time of values and decency. The show does not look dated despite being released in the mid '80s. I even appreciate the character of Wesley now, which was supposed to attract young people--myself included--in 1987.
This program set the stage for feature films and follow-up programs including, but not limited to; Generations, First Contact, Nemesis, and Picard. Not only did this program bring Star Trek to a new generation. It shaped this next generation. Highly recommended!!Want more? Switch to desktop version
