The idea is to siphon votes from an opponent of the incumbent, who's a powerful man. With help, Willie discovers his role in the farce and sets out to make things right. Can a self-proclaimed "hick" win over the establishment to become governor? Is Willie corruptible?
This classic is based on a Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel. Sadly, it is a story that has been repeated since the release of this film.
