Comments: Bobo, a French dockworker, goes on a bender. He wakes up on a barge working for a Chinese fisherman. Wandering back to town, he rescues a young woman, Anna, whose intention is to drown herself in the ocean. As she realizes that he's a good man, he leaves. He's "a gypsy not a peasant." His colleague Tiny insinuates to Anna that Bobo straggled a man one drunken night. Who is telling the truth?

I really enjoyed this film noir. It strikes at the core of each of us to make a remarkable film. This work is based on a novel. Recommended.
