Comments: The film opens with a boy being effectively orphaned when his mother commits suicide after his hateful father drives away. The boy builds a snowman to present his grief. Decades later, the bodies of women are found brutally segmented. A hopeful young recruit enlists the help of a drunk policeman to uncover this serial killer.
This whodunit film is alright. The Rafto character doesn't seem to add anything to the story. Maybe he's better developed in the novel? I did like the scenes of a wintry Oslo.
