Comments: The film opens with a woman waking up. She is told that she now has a cybernetic body, because her human body was injured beyond repair. In other words, her mind was implanted in a synthetic body. She joins a law enforcement agency, which is run by a corporate firm. Her latest assignment is to track a criminal mastermind. As she follows him, she learns that they have more in common than she has been told.
I saw the original Ghost in the Shell film. That animated movie was closer to the original manga comic serial. This film breaks from the manga serial to make it more acceptable to the Western audience. This film is alright. I do like the Mass-Effect-esque incidental music.
