Comments: Some past manufactured disease has turned the bulk of mankind into mutated beasts. The few remaining tribes of people live very simple lives. The skills of reading and writing has been lost. Or have they? The main character's father knows how to read & write. That skill could mean a cure.
This isn't bad for SyFy production. Of course, it's full of pretty people who can't act and the plot is disjointed. Ignoring that, it's OK.
