Comments: An Indian family leave their homeland when the mother is killed in a fire. They end up settling in the south of France (Provence?) because the vegetables are of excellent quality. The son is an excellent cook so his father purchases a disused restaurant. They establish an Indian eatery in the small town, directly across from an existing, and renowned, French restaurant. Naturally, a rivalry is generated.
This is a great drama based on a novel. It describes how the son grows into a famous chef and is recognized by the Michelin guide. Recommended.
