Comments: This movie loosely follows Jules Verne's novel The Mysterious Island. In this flick a kid receives a coded message explaining how to find the island. He convinces his step-father to take him there. The movie pays reasonable respect to the story. The details are good and the acting isn't too bad. All in all, I expected much worse. This isn't a bad movie.
