Comments: An 18-year-old Valley girl overnights in the projector room of the movie theater where she works. Everybody else is outside watching the rare event of earth passing through the tail of a comet. The next morning everybody appears to be missing (leaving only clothes behind). A few are turned into blood-thirsty lunatics. How did she survive and did anyone else make it?

A very good '80s zombie cult classic. A cheerleader with an assault weapon, a 1953 Buick convertible, abandoned streets of LA, zombie mall rats, a Valley girl, witty remarks, "I wish I had hair like that," and Cyndi Lauper songs all firmly position this classic in the 1980s. The time period doesn't run the movie, rather it adds character.
