Comments: This documentary follows Nanook and his family who lived in the remote region east of the Hudson Bay. They're Eskimos and live an intriguing life of hardship and triumphs. The footage is accompanied by an orchestral soundtrack and intertitles that explain what is happening. The quality of the video is impressive, even if it was restored in 1999. If you enjoy such films, Farley Mowat's books are similar. One was made into the film The Snow Walker.
