Comments: Twelve boys and their coach are trapped in a Thai cave when it is partially flooded by an early heavy rainstorm. The Thai authorities are unable to rescue them. A pair of cave rescue divers from England manage to locate the team, finding them still alive nine days later. The five hour transit is fraught with strong currents, total darkness, and other hazards. Reaching them is possible; however, how can the victims be rescued? That's when one of the divers presents a revolutionary idea.

I recall this event as it unfolded over three weeks. I didn't understand the magnitude and heroism that was involved to save all thirteen individuals. Ron Howard presents not only the stories of the divers but also the group of volunteers who bought the divers time by diverting rainwater down the mountain instead of into the cave. I highly recommend this film. It's exciting and kept me engaged despite its length.
