Comments: The film opens early in Hellboy's life when he's told the tale of the Golden Army. As the tale goes, the elves broke up the crown that controls the Golden Army, giving one piece to the humans. Now, the son of the elfen king wants to revive the army so that he can rule the world. Meanwhile, adult Hellboy continues to cause mayhem while saving the world.

This sequel is OK. I could do without the sappy and slapstick scenes. The effects have a steampunk feel to them.
