Comments: Clark Griswald decides to take his family halfway across the U.S. to an amusement park in California named Walley World. They're big fans. Days before they are set to leave, Clark and his son Rusty trade in their gas guzzling station wagon for a brand new sport wagon. Instead, Clark is coerced into buying "The Wagon Queen Family Truckster" The shady salesman's only remark is: "You may think you hate it now, but wait'll you drive it." That sets the tone for this crosscountry trip!

This classic film is famous. I like how they crashed in Monument Valley. I am a bit envious, because Chicago to LA means Route 66--or what remains of it. I'd love to make that trip! This film is wonderful not just because of the actors. Those behind the camera really made it: John Hughes wrote the screenplay and Harold Ramis directed the film. Recommended!
