Title (Year): Gone In 60 Seconds (1974) Age: 50 yearsGRS Rating: 5 of 5
Infractions: None. Comments: A chop shop buys wrecked cars, removes the ID numbers, steals the same model and color, and fits the numbers from the wrecked cars. Then, the cars are sold to a bidder. The next order is for more than forty cars including a Mustang codenamed Elenore. The snag is that they won't steal cars that are not insured. "Lock your car or it may be gone in 60 seconds." H.B. Halicki's film inspired a lot including the 2000 remake. This film includes one of the longest car chases on film as it tears around the South Bay. |
