Comments: Daredevil Lieutenant Dan Prescott disobeys orders and continues climbing into space. Out of reach of control, his spaceship is hit by a meteorite storm and splits in half. When the vessel is recovered on Earth, it's found that the cockpit had been breached. Commander Chuck Prescott, Dan's brother, holds no hope that Dan is still alive. But when mysterious murders start to occur around the crash site, Chuck begins to wonder what may have returned from space.

This film is another of the great '50s space/horror stories. Not unlike The Thing From Another World, this feature is short and the characters are sufficient to provide a story and a warning. Also, I like that the spaceship is dropped from a bomber at fifty thousand feet. Furthermore, it's cool to see Mr Delgado represent Mexico before he became the quintessential Master in Doctor Who. There are a lot of shots of the actual test flights of the first men in space. Recommended.
