Comments: This film is a remake of the Swedish original. The story has been tailored for the American audience. It works well enough. I don't care for the transsexual character; however, he's a hard worker and kind. There's a shot of Niagara Falls that is obviously a visual effect. Tom Hanks is excellent: bringing depth to this unusual character. Also, I enjoyed seeing episodes with his missing wife. It explains the main chararacter. Recommended.
