Comments: Mr Holly Martins, a Western novelist, travels to Vienna for work. He is supposed to share an apartment with Harry Lime, his friend. Holly finds his friend accidentally dead and being buried! Then, Holly learns that Harry was a racketeer! Holly is determined to find out what happened to his friend.

I like the witty narration and dialogue. There are many good shots of post-war Vienna. I didn't realize that Vienna was split between the Allies like Berlin. The lack of subtitles in this film noir makes it difficult to understand the foreign languages at times. But, for the part it's alright. The climax is exciting, and the ending is fitting.
