Comments: Young Mr Peter Wakeling is starting work at a London's Public Works in County Hall. He meets elderly Mr Williams who runs the department. Peter tries to get a playground approved for three ladies, who are being given the runaround by the 1950s ministries. Then, Mr Williams is told that he has only a six to nine months to live. He decides to live the rest of his life better.

This is a British remake of Ikiru. It's easier to understand and still a bit slow. There are many shots of 1950s London.
