Comments: A man checks into the El Royale, removes the floorboards, puts something in there, and replaces the floorboards. Not much later, he answers the door and is shot dead. The hotel is built on the Nevada/California border near Lake Tahoe. Ten years later, four very different individuals check-in to the now, unpopular hotel. One man takes Room 1, the honeymoon suite. He finds more than a dozen microphones hidden in the room. That's only the tip of the iceberg at El Royale.

This film features interlocking and intriguing stories. The audience figures out what is happening and has happened through the individual stories. The soundtrack is excellent! The photography is unusual, as is the entire production.
