Comments: In a remote farming valley, small town life is proceeding. Meg asks Nath to help her father who has wooden leg from a mysterious, past incident. Nath agrees and works for Peter. After the first day, he decides to take a short cut through Oxhead Woods. Pete tells him that the screams will haunt him. Nath doesn't make it through the woods and is now curious. He and Meg seek to uncover why Pete is so fearful of the woods.

Edward G. Robinson is excellent, of course. The plot is predictable; however, it's makes a wholesome film. Based on a novel.
