He was listening when Frank was shot and wants to piece together what happened to his friend. Lionel has a lot of trouble with women, which makes investigating difficult.

The style of this film is similar to Chinatown. The conflict is comparable. The story is complex and entertaining. The characters are important and matter. This excellent film is written and directed by Edward Norton, and is based on a novel! I like how it emulates the feel of The Score, also. "If!" Recommended!
