Comments: It's 1787 in Portsmouth, Captain Bligh is bound for the South Seas--Tahiti to be specific--to pick up breadfruit trees for the West Indies. The voyage will require two years. The impressed sailors are not pleased. They're even less happy with the Captain's ruthless discipline. When he's caught lying, the tide starts to turn against Bligh. Will he maintain command of his ship?

This film is, of course, based on the novel. It's epic and enjoyable.
