Comments: Jean-Baptiste Molière returns to Paris with his troupe determined to put a tragedy, written by his own hand, on the stage. Thirteen years earlier, he was imprisoned for debt. His debts were paid by Monsieur Jourdain, a wealthy man, who wanted to seduce a young widow, Marquise Célimène. Molière was commissioned to teach Jourdain to be a good enough actor to attract the attention of the young woman, while under the guise of a priest. What will Jourdain's wife and daughter think?

This French film is silly but also serious at times. It's pretty good. It's very loosely based on the influential playwright. Nonethless, it is enjoyable.
