Comments: The three-man crew of a rocket bound for Mars are removed just before launch. The rocket is launched empty, and the crew are smuggled away! The NASA Director made it happen to save the lives of the astronauts. A faulty life support system is discovered only two months before launch--too late to do anything about it. Rather than scrap the mission, the Director asks the astronauts to help him fake the Mars landing. He blackmails them to go along with his plan.

I hadn't seen this film in decades. It's still excellent and possible more relevant in today's world. There's precision airplane flying. I enjoyed the witty dialogue. Recommended!
