Comments: In A.D. 895, a Norse king returns home after raiding. He's injured and introduces his son to their family tree. The king is killed by his brother. The treachery lands the brother the king's wife. The boy escapes and vows to avenge his father's death and rescue his mother.

This epic about a Norseman is visually attractive. I also enjoyed how the filming portrays the feelings of the character. Also, I like the mysticism. It reminds me of Robin of Sherwood. This film does a good job showing the brutality of the Northmen in war and the power of their convictions. Filmed in Northern Iceland, which does a good job passing as Iceland.
