Title (Year): The Dam Busters (1955) Age: 69 yearsGRS Rating: 5 of 5
Infractions: None. Comments: Spring 1942, a brilliant English engineer is attempting to find a way to deliver a bomb right to a Nazi dam. The RAF takes some convincing and finds two targets in western Germany. Destroying the dams would flood a major industrial area. Can they do it? This was an expensive production! It's a bit long at times; however, it's enjoyable. Based on a book by the same author who wrote The Great Escape and an autobiography written by wing commander Guy Gibson. This film is a good tribute to the men who died during this operation. |
