Hans, now an adult, is helping a scientist experiment with death. Baron von Frankenstein's latest experiment meant placing his body in extreme cold for one hour and then resuscitating him, which is a success. Hans visits the local tavern to buy a bottle of champagne. He's happy to do so, because he loves the young, disfigured girl, Christina, who works there. Then, after a bar fight, he's found guilty of murder and guillotined. Promptly Christina drowns herself in a stream. The baron brings back to life a "better" Christina. Who is she really?
This British film does a good job of bringing to life a new aspect of the Frankenstein idea. The result is unexpected. (I've listened to the original story.) This film is something to see! |
