Title (Year): The Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933)
Age: 91 years
GRS Rating: 5 of 5
Notable Cast:

Duration: 1 hr, 17 min
Infractions: None.

Comments: I found this Pre-Code film better than the remake released in 1953. The story is mostly the same. However, the acting is better, and it's more risque. I could swear that one of Faye Wray's dresses is translucent and her costume in her apartment is not what we think of the '30s.

What is best is the fact that the main character is a female reporter. She's witty, independent, and tough without losing her feminine appeal and goodness. The movie industry is still trying to generate such a character. Could "The Code", which we know as movie ratings, be the problem? If you want to enjoy a Wax-Museum film, then this is the one!
