Comments: The Dutch return to Indonesia after the Japanese Army is defeated. The natives don't want the Europeans re-securing the colony. This film sees Indonesia through the eyes of a young enlisted man, Johan de Vries. He begins to question why the Dutch are there. When he returns home, life is no easier.

This Dutch film is a decent war film. It relates an aspect of the post-war world in the Far East that is new to me. It is dubbed in English.
