Comments: The war isn't going well in Tunisia after the defeat in Kasserine. The army calls in General George Patton to whip into shape The Seventh Army. His no-nonsense attitude liberates Sicily. The Nazi High Command begins to fear him. After a faux pas, his duties change. The politics in the high ranks of the military continue to elude this great strategist. But then, he's given command of The Third Army in Europe. Will the Nazi generals still fear him?

This biographical film opens with a speech by Patton. It is direct and characterizes the egotistical and honorable officer. Patton's a student of ancient warfare so he's only concerned with combat. I'm very impressed by the fact that Patton's army moved north in very difficult weather conditions. This film is based on two biographies and is worth watching.
