Comments: A boy is caught breaking into a hardware store to steal a revolver. It's established in court that the boy loves guns. The judge sends him to a reform school to grow up. When he returns, he's still obsessed with firearms but also a responsible adult. He wins a competition with a female sharpshooter in traveling carnival and is offered a job with the troupe. They're both fired by the jealous manager and start their life together.

Before Bonnie and Clyde, there was this film. It's enjoyable and a bit dark for 1949. It's based on a newspaper story.
