Comments: Shane stops his trip north to help the Staretts, a family of homesteaders, with an aggressive cattle baron named Ryker. Shane is a bit jumpy because he's a retired gunfighter. The two men form a bond with the idea to build a farm.

I like the vast mountains in the background of this film. The beautiful shots of "big" scenery are enticing. This Western is based on a novel.
