Title (Year): Above Suspicion (2017) Age: 7 yearsGRS Rating: 5 of 5
Infractions: None. Comments: In 1989, an ambitious FBI agent, Mark Putnam, from Connecticut moves to McCoy/Hatfield country with the idea of busting a bank-robbing ring. He recruits a reluctant, poor mother by making promises. There's no way out of town, so Susan Smith helps him. Their relationship develops into something else. Which comes first: ambition or love? This film isn't easy to watch. It's not horrific. It's honest and real. It does a very good job presenting life in a depressed town. The film is based on an important, true story. Emilia Clarke presents her character very well and realistically. |
