Comments: Britain is on the brink of war with the Nazis. It's Christmas 1940. Then, the nation is bombed by aircraft, and Great Britain mobilizes the military. Decades later the war is not over. The Wandering Sickness spreads around the devastated world. Then, a man arrives in a new airplane and claims to an emissary from an utopia.

H.G. Wells adapts one of his novels to produce an exciting film. The visual effects are impressive for 1936! The film poses questions about ideals, progress, and society. Some of Wells' predictions were accurate.
