Comments: The Hardy Boys want to earn money by ferrying tourists to the popular Rocky Island. The uncle of one of their friends owns an old junk. Meanwhile, the boys' father, Fenton, is trying to locate a cache of jade that was recently stolen in Hong Kong. When the boys and their friends purchase the boat, other parties seem very interested and will do anything to get the old boat.

This episode was the pilot for unmade TV program. It's been decades since I read this novel; however, this episode seems fairly accurate. Of course, the pilot embraces the '60s Californian scene.
