I love how this film reminds the audience that a common transport in Denmark is the bicycle, even in times of war. Just think about that: cycling to war. Furthermore, it's unusual that the commanding officer refers to his soldiers as two-hundred-numbers (e.g. "223"). The style reminds me of The Winter War, because the odds are nearly impossible to win. There are short statements by individuals from the original Company at the end of the film.
