Comments: Lance and Andy use metal detectors to search for gold coins. They have the idea that a hidden cache of Saxon gold exists in Essex. As they wander the countryside, life continues. Can they find the gold without losing it to others or messing up their lives?

This TV program is distinctly British. It takes a bit to get going; however, it's really a lot of fun. The characters are memorable and unique. Also, I like how Lance drives a yellow TR7. It fits his character. Much of the conversation is funny, in an awkwardly English way. There are many pretty shots of the countryside. Furthermore, I really enjoyed many of Lance's observations and conclusions about life. Recommended if you enjoy modern British comedy.
