Comments: This film begins with a blast, namely the sinking of two British battleships in Alexandria Harbor. Italian divers used small submersibles, called chariots, to attach mines to the bottoms of the battleships. These operations are swinging the war in favor of the Axis Powers. Gibraltor is the next target, and Whitehall sends a mine/bomb disposal man to deal with the threat. Lieutenant Crabb wastes no time starting his search with his new team of frogmen. He's determined to ensure the safe passage of ships out of The Rock.

This British film grew from a novel about Commander Lionel Crabb. He must have been quite a character! The film features witty dialogue, which is sometimes hilarious! I enjoyed the exciting underwater fight scene! Also, I like how the characters really whisper when they're sneaking around, not just speak softly. It's unusual for a film. Shh! If you enjoy war films or diving, I would highly recommend this film!
