Comments: This film opens describing the creation of the world and the clan of humans. This group lives in an infertile valley and scrounges for food and firewood. One teenaged guy, the son of an influencial leader, asks why they cannot hunt in the fertile areas beyond the river. He's told that the Word forbids it. When his father is wounded, the teenager sets out into the forbidden unknown.

This Roger Corman direction features a young Robert Vaughn. The ending has a twist. It's not too bad, despite Mystery Science Theater 3000 mocking it. The movie is available on YouTube.
