Comments: Ten years after the TV program concluded, South Dakota is becoming a state. The characters who helped form Deadwood, and the new state, return for the celebration. The old life of the small town is jerked into the present when one of their number is murdered. An evil, and almost forgotten, crime may be punished.

It's excellent seeing the Deadwood characters back! I was stunned how many returned. The characters have aged dramatically. Ten years was a long time in the Old West. I found that some of the Shakespeare-like, profane conversation is a bit too much. Perhaps I have forgotten the tone of the show? This film provides a much-needed conclusion for the short-lived TV program. Thank you!
