Comments: This documentary describes the life of Fred Rogers. It centers around his landmark and famous TV program "Mister Roger's Neighborhood". I grew up watching the second phase--if I may call it that?--of this show. After a break in the late '70s, he started addressing serious issues for children like divorce, violence, disability, and abortion. Yes, I can say that I was positively affected by his wholesome presentations, even though I didn't fully realize it at the time. Also, it's impressive what he did to keep PBS on the air during the trying Nixon administration. This heartfelt film tries to explain why he was able to do the great good that he did. It's well worth watching! What a wonderful man!
