Comments: A free-spirited '70s woman brings her son to visit his grandmother in the countryside of England. That's when she learns that her mother is actually not British, but Russian, and, during World War II, created propaganda and spied for Secret Intelligence Service (SIS)! The young woman learns more as she reads a memoir, of sorts, written by her mother. Her mother has become very paranoid, suspecting Nazi agents lurk in the woods near her cottage. As the story unfolds, intrigue and espionage take form.

This TV mini-series is entertaining and quite exciting. The late '70s and late '30/early '40s seem well presented. The portrayal of the Blitz seems especially realistic. The acting is so good that it's difficult to remember that they're acting. Well done.
