Comments: A reporter discovers a business owner, who's running for a public office, destroying accounting records one late, rainy night. He writes an article for the newspaper. Ignoring the demand for a retraction by the powerful businessman, the reporter is framed for manslaughter of three. The reporter's sure that the truth will come out, and he will be released. But the weeks turn into months with no release. He befriends a "hood" who is serving a 198-year sentence. They decide to take matters into their own hands.

This gangster/prison film is based on a novel. The pace is slower than modern audiences are accustomed; however, the ending is exciting. The three lead actors perform with excellence.
