Comments: This Italian film opens with a woman running from, and taunting, a man with a gun in the streets of New York City. He's casually stopped by a policeman, who asks for his hunting license. People are allowed to hunt others in this near-future world. There are rules. For instance, the hunter must know the would-be victim, but not vice versa. After the tenth victim is scored, the hunter receives fame and one-million dollars. Of course, they have to be registered with the Hunt Ministry to legally participate. Computers in this government department decide who hunts whom. This film follows two hunters, one now a victim. Who will win?

"Why control births when we can increase deaths." "I went there with my eighteenth wife." "They can't take comics. We'll have nothing to read!" A baron dressed as a Nazi with a Luger who's killed in a tongue-in-cheek manner. These are examples of the irony of this film.

It's distinctly '60s, and an excellent satire on the then modern life, and applicable today! Drugs, marriage/divorce, ignorance, new age religion, sensationalism, commercialism, etc. are ridiculed. The selection of cars is excellent, also. Based on a short story.
