Comments: A military contractor has developed robots that can go into combat. After the demonstration to the Army, one is struck by lightning. This seemingly undamaged robot is sent back to storage. It is accidentally transported from the facility and starts to explore Astoria, Oregon. But the contractor wants it back or eliminated.

I remember seeing this film when it first came out. It was great then, and it's still great now! "Number Five is alive!" The dialogue is funny, the characters are memorable--especially the robot--, and the story has a strong plot and conflict. It's also a moral film. Recommended!
