Comments: A couple's marriage was in trouble before the end of the world. After someone commanding the B-52s showers the American public with "black death", the United States has descended into barbarism. Some of the survivors try to maintain their previous lives in their hometowns. These Domestics are always wary of the various "themed" gangs who outnumber and constantly threaten their existence.

The troubled couple decide to drive the now lengthy "five hour" drive to check on her parents in Milwaukee with the hope that it will revitalize their relationship. But now, this drive may cause the end of both their lives!

This post-apocalyptic film jumps right into the new world as viewed in the Midwest. I like that aspect. And, it is a predictably terrible place to be, which is a good thing for this genre. People are seen doing anything to get by. I like the antique Winchester rifle featured in the climatic scene. The plot moves along well and pushes the main character into a stronger form. This is a good example of this type of film, and I'll admit that I enjoyed it quite a bit.
