Comments: After the Civil War, Texan cattle agent Wade Hatton helps the railroad connect the East and West. Looking for a job, he arrives in Dodge City. This settlement is lawless and uncivilized. The sheriff has long left, and the law is now Jeff Surrett. Wade knows the crooked Surrett well and decides to clean up the town by becoming the new sheriff.

This film shows the popular revival of Westerns. Flynn does a good job in this early Technicolor fight between good and evil. Some may view a couple of scenes in this film as rascist; however, remember the time period and setting. Fun film.
