Comments: A French Secret Service agent is captured in Africa. He is convicted of attempted assassination of the nation's president. He serves two years of hard labor in prison. He escapes, convinced that the French government sold him out. Back in Paris, he plans to exact his revenge.

This clever French action film is based on a novel. The film reminds me of Hopscotch, though the main character could almost pass as a Frankish James Bond. Along the same lines, I enjoyed the car chase, especially since the hero is driving the same model car--only in European spec--that I learned to drive stickshift in! Also, it has the typical characteristics expect in a French film: light humor and unabashed nudity. I wouldn't be surprised if The Bourne Identity took some ideas from this film.
