Comments: A producer, who runs a small TV channel in Toronto, strives to be noticed so he broadcasts softcore pornography, torture, and violence. He pirates a channel in Pittsburg that is transmitting exactly what he hopes to re-broadcast on his Civic TV, cable Channel 83. After watching it with a new girlfriend, he begins to see things. He learns that a signal, which is running underneath the violent pirated show, is affecting him.

This film explores sexuality and violence as delivered by television to the populace. But the movie goes beyond that, suggesting that our high level of consumption of television (and modern equivalents), may cause individuals to blur video with real life. Furthermore, it presents the possibility of subliminal messaging in TV. This film is typical of '80s horror: gore produced with special effects; however, the warning is still valuable today.
